About Armourgeddon

Branding itself as “the home of tank paintball battles”, Armourgeddon is an interactive museum and activity centre in Leicestershire, England. Visitors can participate in high-octane experiences such as tank and military vehicle driving and air rifle shooting.

History of Armourgeddon

Armourgeddon is an independent museum and activity centre in Leicestershire, England. Some of the museum’s artefacts were purchased and privately acquired, while others were gifted by contributors.

The museum’s collections have grown considerably since its inception, and now encompass a Russian T55, an American M3 Lee and a T-16 Mk I, as well as a Sherman tank, a 1947 BELL 47G helicopter and a Bofors gun.

Personal artefacts donated to the museum have now been compiled into an exhibit titled ‘The Inner Sanctum’, which is devoted to the human experience of World War One and World War Two.

The museum has also added a themed café, The Café De Normandie. There, visitors can enjoy refreshments while immersing themselves in a 1940s street scene, styled during the D-Day invasions and complete with military vehicles on the roadside.

Armourgeddon today

Today, Armourgeddon offers visitors a whole host of activities and interactive exhibits: tank paintballing, tank and military vehicle driving sessions, archery, air rifle shooting and clay pigeon shooting.

The centre’s most popular activity is tank paintballing, where teams take part in a thrilling paintball battle while driving in an FV432 tank. As the Armourgeddon website states, “Tanks, cannons, mud and guns. What more could you want from a day out?!”

On the same farm is the Armourgeddon Military Museum, which features some 60 tanks and military vehicles. The collection also encompasses a number of other artefacts, including small arms and military machinery.
